The colours and tastes of the Chaudière-Appalaches region

Varied landscapes, a welcoming population, fascinating tourist attractions . . . the Chaudière-Appalaches region dons its most beautiful attire to ensure your visit to the region is absolutely unforgettable! And what about the quality of its local products and the many agrotourism activities to enjoy? Very simply, amazing!

The artisans of the Chaudière-Appalaches region nurture a passion for agriculture and agrifood. Many are those who share their knowledge and enthusiasm by opening their doors to the public.

Agrotourism is innate. And it takes a thousand and one forms: tastings, interpretation routes, not to mention meals in a rural setting and guided tours. Agrotourism activities abound in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. More conventionally, dairy, pork, beef and poultry production are proudly represented. You will also become familiar with buffalo, red deer, sheep, rabbits and goats, to name but a few. And don’t forget the sugarbushes, orchards, fruits and vegetables, as well as the gardens . . . . Flavours and discoveries are most certainly in the offing!

Experience the Chaudière-Appalaches region!

Looking for genuine agrotourism treasures? The Le Ricaneux domain, in Saint-Charles de Bellechasse, is not to be missed. It’s one of the region’s first agrotourism enterprises and worth the stop! The Ferme Genest will welcome you for a pleasant visit, or you can gather the region’s delicious fruit and can treat yourself to the farm’s processed products. Cassis et Mélisse knows how to delight its visitors with excellent organic cheeses, a bed and breakfast and rewarding tours of the farm. You will also love your visit to Bisons Chouinard, which offers tours and interpretation activities, and sells the products processed at the farm.

One can’t ignore the many innkeepers serving country meals that will delight your taste buds. Among them are the Manoir des Érables in Montmagny, the Domaine de l’Oie toquée in Saint-Agapit, La cache à Maxime in Scott, and l'Auberge des Glacis in Saint-Eugène-de-l’Islet.

The Chaudière-Appalaches region is as proud as can be of its agrotourism enterprises and gourmet food, which await you, ready to arouse your senses and give spice to your adventures. Bon appétit!
